Quest for Texas Best Q & A Session

Last year, H-E-B introduced an exciting program called Primo Picks: “Quest for Texas Best,” which was an opportunity for local, small and minority food and beveragesuppliers to have their items considered for H-E-B shelves. The top 25 finalist, had a chance to win substantial prize money for finishing in the top four. I’m happy to say that many of the winners, finalists and entrants’ products have been placed on H-E-B shelves today and are building sales momentum.
 
Because the program was so well received, we are bringing it back for a second year. The open solicitation for product ideas will take place February 25 through April 10, 2015. Interested food and beverage suppliers will have a chance to use our online portal to submit their exciting product and creative ideas. Similar to last year, H-E-B Business Development Managers will cull through the entries to find the top 25 finalists. The top 25 finalist will present to a panel of judges, who determine the Grand winner, 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd place winners. The details for the panel showcase is slated for August. Also in an effort to reach more potential suppliers, we are holding this event for those of you in between Austin and San Antonio.
